The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will be participating in the Charles Town/Ranson Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. The AWS walking unit will be comprised of dogs that have been adopted from shelters, rescue groups, AWS dogs that are in need of homes or one’s own canine companions. Those who would like to help represent the Animal Welfare Society in the parade, may call the number below to register, meet at Ranson Elementary School at 1:30 p.m. or find AWS in the parade lineup. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy the parade from a new perspective. Those who don’t have a dog and would like to participate may walk a shelter dog or carry the banner.
