Apollo continues season with ‘Our Town’

By Staff | Jan 15, 2016

The Apollo Civic Theatre, 128 E. Martin Street, in Martinsburg, continues its 2015-16 season with Thornton Wilder’s classic drama “Our Town” Feb. 5-14. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.

In an important publishing event, Samuel French, in cooperation with the Thornton Wilder estate, is pleased to release the playwright’s definitive version of “Our Town.” This edition differs slightly from previous acting editions, yet it presents the play as Mr. Wilder wished it to be performed.

Set in the small town of Grover’s Corners, the story follows the Webb and Gibson families as their children fall in love, marry and, eventually – in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die.

Tickets are available at the door. Or, for reserved seating, call 304-263-6766. Tickets are also available online at www.apollocivictheatre.org.
