Shepherd to offer help filling out FAFSA

By Staff | Feb 5, 2016

Shepherd University is offering free help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other financial aid forms during College Goal Sunday, Feb. 21, from 1-4 p.m. in Erma Ora Byrd Hall.

Anyone interested in attending college or entering certificate programs should complete a FAFSA, including high school seniors, adults looking to start or return to college and current college students.

Students who are applying for federal grants, West Virginia grants and scholarships, financial aid, private scholarships, and low-interest federal student loans should complete the 2016-17 FAFSA by March 1. Representatives from Shepherd’s Office of Financial Aid will help students and their families fill out the FAFSA and answer any questions about the process.

For questions related to the FAFSA or financial aid, contact Shepherd’s Office of Financial Aid at 304-876-5470, or faoweb@shepherd.edu. For more information about College Goal Sunday and what type of documents to bring, visit collegegoalsundaywv.org/.
