Rotry inducts two

The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted Richard and Michelle Casuccio as new members.

The induction ceremony was held at the Club’s Feb. 2 regular breakfast meeting at the Bavarian Inn.

Richard is a Medical Doctor, now serving as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the West Virginia University School of Medicine-Eastern Division in Martinsburg.

Previously, he was Chief of Plastic Surgery at WVU in Morgantown.

His extensive professional experience also includes private practices in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Morgantown and Sterling, Virginia, as well as faculty positions in surgery, plastic surgery and otolaryngology at Ohio State University, George Washington University, and Yale University. He is board certified in plastic surgery and otolaryngology.

He received his MD at Ohio State and had his residency there for plastic surgery and at Yale for otolaryngology and surgery. He also completed a fellowship at Clinique Belvedere in Paris, France.

In addition to his regular professional responsibilities, he is the founder and director of Doctors Overseas Lending a Helping Hand, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical and surgical care to people in need around the world.

Michelle has worked in the title industry since 1974 and is currently employed at Fidelity National Financial as a Regional Construction Loan Manager.

She has also taught horseback riding, in particular hunt seat equitation and dressage, for 15 years, and has served as judge in equestrian competitions.

Dr. and Mrs. Casuccio live in Martinsburg. They were previously members of the Leesburg, Virginia Rotary Club.

The Shepherdstown Rotary Club’s membership currently totals 67.
