The Eastern Panhandle Conservation District (EPCD) will host a weekend rain barrel sale on Friday, April 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the EPCD office located at 151 Aikens Center, Martinsburg.

The cost of the 55 gallon blue barrel and DIY kit is $40. This is not a fundraiser for EPCD, it is more of a service. EPCD covers Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties and aids in providing homeowners and agricultural producers cost share assistance programs on things such as septic pumping and repairs and agriculture best management practices (BMPs) implementation.

They also provide educational components to the public and private school systems and community organizations in areas of water health and conservation and how to conserve the natural resources in the area.
