The Apollo Civic Theatre in Martinsburg kicks off its 2016-17 season with the area premiere of the musical, “Rock Of Ages.” Auditions will be held June 5, at 2 p.m., and June 6, at 7 p.m. Callbacks will be held on June 8, at 7 p.m.

Men and women, ages 18 and up, are invited to audition and asked to prepare at least 32 bars or one verse and chorus of an 80’s rock song — preferably something that shows your range. Bring either an accompaniment CD or sheet music (an accompanist and CD player will be provided). No a capella auditions. Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script. Those auditioning will also be walked through a dance component, so please dress appropriately for movement.

Rehearsals will begin the week of July 25 with a mandatory Tech Week Sept. 18-22. Performances are Sept. 23, 24, 25 and 30 and Oct. 1 and 2, 2016.
