Adult learning at Shepherd has space still available
There is still space available in Shepherd University’s new Master Scholars program, which offers visitors a three-night stay on campus while they explore the area and see plays at the Contemporary American Theater Festival. Master Scholars will take place July 28-31 and is open to anyone who’s interested but is designed for lifelong learners.
The Master Scholars weekend will include tickets to two Contemporary American Theater Festival plays, private tours conducted by historians of Antietam National Battlefield and Shepherd’s George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War, a healthy cooking class, a bike ride along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, a wine pairing dinner and access to the Wellness Center.
Shepherd Master Scholars can choose to stay on campus in one of the university’s apartment-style residence halls or commute. Costs are $1,200 double occupancy and $750 single occupancy to stay on campus, and $500 with no lodging. There is a priority registration deadline of June 3.
