Kiwanis Club gives scholarship

By Staff | Jun 3, 2016

At the Jefferson High School Key Club banquet on May 17, Dr. Bernard Wayne Knott presented the Paul M. Saab Memorial Kiwanis Scholarship to Paige Conrad of Shepherdstown. Conrad has been involved in Key Club all four years of high school and served as the club president during her senior year. Conrad will be attending Shepherd University, majoring in political science and journalism. She is the daughter of Randall and Rebecca Conrad.

The scholarship was established in memory of Paul Saab, a longtime biology professor at Shepherd and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Shepherdstown, who died unexpectedly in 2001. It is awarded annually to an Eastern Panhandle student who has been involved in Key Club and/or is a family member of a Kiwanian and will be attending Shepherd University.
