Mayor, council elected for two-year terms

Shepherdstown’s municipal election was held Tuesday with little fanfare. All candidates on the ballot were elected to their desired positions.

Mayor Jim Auxer will serve again, having garnered 51 votes. Lori Robertson earned 50 votes as town recorder while council members will include Deb Tucker, 45 votes; Mark Everhart, 28 votes; Jim Ford, 45 votes; David Rosen, 42 votes; and Cheryl Roberts, 46 votes.

Three former members did not seek re-election. They were Karene Motivans, Wanda Smith and Bain Schill.

No other information was available from town staffers.
