This year has been a difficult one for the music industry with such iconic performers such as Glenn Frey, Merle Haggard, David Bowie and Prince passing away. Thankfully, their music was left behind for audiences to enjoy.

The Young Artists Series put on a tribute performance to these artists on Saturday night at the Shepherdstown Opera House. The venue was packed with people and energy as a total of eighteen musicians took to the stage, playing instruments ranging from a tuba to guitars. The show ended with a rendition of Prince’s Purple Rain that earned several standing ovations and an encore.
