Shepherd to host regional international conference, paper proposals due Aug. 14
Shepherd University will host the International Studies Association (ISA) South Annual Conference Oct. 14-15, and anyone interested in submitting a panel or paper proposal must do so by Aug. 14.
Faculty and graduate and undergraduate students with an interest in international studies are invited to submit proposals. Dr. Aart Holtslag, ISA South program chair and Shepherd assistant professor of political science, said paper, panel and roundtable proposals on any subject related to international studies papers are welcome, but there’s a particular interest in submissions that focus on the conference theme, “Global Aspects of Civil War: Impact and Consequences.”
Holtslag said conference organizers would like to extend a special invitation to graduate and undergraduate student participants. He said student registration fees are subsidized, and additional travel grants are available for students presenting papers.
Proposals must be submitted through the ISA submission system. For more information, visit www.isanet.org/ Conferences/South-Shepherdstown-
