Interact car wash this Saturday

By Staff | Aug 19, 2016

Students from Jefferson High School’s Interact Club will hold a car wash this Saturday, Aug. 20, in Shepherdstown to benefit victims of the recent West Virginia floods.

The car wash will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Whale of a Wash car wash facility, which is located at 104 Maddox Square Drive (off Route 45 just west of town, behind the Quality Inn hotel).

If it rains that day, the car wash will be shifted to Sunday, Aug. 21.

The students will be offering a car-wash package that will include an automatic, touch-free wash; hand-drying; and interior vacuuming. They are promising friendly service throughout.

The automatic wash alone is normally $12; the students will be asking for a suggested donation of $12 for their whole wash package.

Whale of a Wash is letting the students use its facility for free and donating all supplies, so all of the proceeds from the day’s car wash will go to flood victims.
