Submitted photo
West Virginia Kiwanians from around the state convened at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley, Aug. 12-14, for the 97th Annual District Convention. There were educational sessions, the election of officers for the 2016-17 administrative year and plenty of time for sharing Kiwanis fellowship. Mrs. Penny Fuller of the Kiwanis Club of Charles Town (left) was elected Lieutenant Governor of Division 6, which encompasses the Eastern Panhandle. Other locals who attended were Dr. Bernard Wayne Knott and Adele Knott from the Kiwanis Club of Shepherdstown.
