First Friday Coffeehouse features dulcimer player
First Friday Coffeehouse will feature a return engagement by the amazing Butch Ross on Oct. 7. The event is held at Trinity Orchard House. Doors open for social time and open mic sign-up at 7 p.m. All open mic participants should be there early to get a slot to perform at one of the area`s premier listening rooms.
Ross plays the mountain dulcimer. He plays it standing up like a guitar. He holds it upside and strung backwards. And, he plays rock n roll on itincluding songs like Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven. Despite all this wrongness, somehow it all sounds just wonderfully right. Ross also plays his own funny, poignant songs and some traditional mountain tunes, but somehow they rock, too.
Ross hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee. For more information visit www.butchross.com.
