Get ready to shop because it’s that time of year again! The Shepherdstown Community Club (SCC) is hosting three separate Handmade Market events this season, so all will have plenty of opportunities to shop for quality handmade gifts.

First, the November installment of the 1st Weekend Handmade Market will open this Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be a full house of unique curated products from Daisy Girl (etched copper and silver jewelry), Taylor Made Designs (woodturning), Raising Cane, Chairs by Geary (hand-caned and refurbished wood chairs), Plumely Lane Botanicals (natural skin care, baby gift sets), Happy Cat Glass (stained glass panels, ornaments), Susan Carney Art (fine art, monotypes), Nature’s Inspirations (jewelry made with fair trade components), The Dancing Herbalist (natural health tinctures), Linda Slothower (scarves, felted handbags), Delaney Clay Art (functional pottery and woodturning), The Cottage of Herbs (herb mixes, specialty foods and gift baskets), Creative Art and Soul (electroformed copper and stone jewelry) and Duchess Apiary (local honey and bee products).

Jewelry lovers, prepare to go bling crazy at the All Jewelry, Only Jewelry Handmade Market on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Explore a pop-up shop loaded with handmade jewelry created by 13 local artists and designers using various artistic techniques and materials such as hand-forged metal, fused glass, wire wrapped stones and crystals, hand-strung beads, electroformed copper, resin-encased natural elements, etched metal, sculptured polymer clay and a lot more. This show is one day only.

Finally, save the dates for the annual Ho Ho Ho-liday Handmade Market which kicks off Black Friday weekend (three days; Nov. 25, 26 & 27) and continues the following three weekends until Christmas (Dec. 3-4, 10-11 & 17-18). The market will be open Black Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. A few sellers will be in attendance throughout the Market series, while other sellers rotate in and out, providing the opportunity to see something different each weekend!

All SCC Handmade Markets are located indoors at the War Memorial Building, 102 E. German St. in historic downtown Shepherdstown. Admission is always free. Funds raised from sellers’ booth fees go to the SCC to help maintain the historic War Memorial Building and Morgan’s Grove Park.
