Shepherdstown Rotary Club helps town gear up for Christmas
Members of the Shepherdstown Rotary Club and the Shepherd University Rotaract Club gathered in downtown Shepherdstown on November 19 to decorate the town’s iconic McMurran Hall building and the town Christmas tree for the upcoming “Christmas in Shepherdstown” celebration. The Rotary Club has performed this service for the town each year since these celebrations began nearly 30 years ago.
The individuals shown in the photo are, from left to right, Jillian and Garret O’Connell, who are Rotaract Club members, and Jack Lantzy and John Loeffler, of the Rotary Club. This year’s “Christmas in Shepherdstown” will begin formally the evening of Nov. 25 with the mayor’s welcome, tree lighting, and Santa’s arrival.
