Shepherdstown’s 2016 Christmas parade, which will be held this Saturday (Dec. 3), is still scheduled to start at 10 a.m. The town’s Christmas parades usually start at 11 a.m.; however, this year organizers decided to move the start up to 10 a.m. because of the likelihood that Shepherd University would have an NCAA Division II Football Quarterfinal playoff game the same day and the game would be held in Shepherdstown as it was last year.

Shepherd does in fact have a quarterfinal game Saturday but it was decided last weekend that the game will be held on the campus of Shepherd’s opponent, California University of Pennsylvania.

Shepherdstown parade organizers say it would be too confusing to try to change the start time for this year’s parade again at this late date, so the start time will stay at 10 a.m.
