Speak presents show of storytellers

Speak presents a juried show of West Virginia Storytellers! Fred M. Powers is a walking repository of West Virginia and Appalachian History. A former school teacher as well as a miner, he has given a voice and a face to the stories of miners and their place in our nation’s history. A teller of short stories and tall tales (some true), Jo Ann Dadisman is a native West Virginian whose passion for her state and her people guide her storytelling. She will be offering a program called “The Trouble with Men and Women.”

Speak will take place on Tuesday Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Club War Memorial Building. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
