The Apollo Civic Theatre, 128 E. Martin Street, in Martinsburg, continues its 2016-17 season with “The Diary of Anne Frank” Feb. 3-12. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Amanda Hartman directs this stage adaptation of the book based on the writings from the diary kept by Anne Frank while she was hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Her words represent a young girl’s testimony to the suffering of civilians during the Nazi occupation.
