Come support the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County by enjoying a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions and raffles to benefit the Society’s renovations of the existing dog kennels. Last year’s event began the renovations of the dog kennels. Now it is time to complete them with new gates, new flooring and more to create a comfortable and safe area for the dogs waiting to be adopted.

The 8th annual Valentine Dinner and Auction is being held at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5:30-10 p.m. in their Skyline Ballroom.

Enjoy a purrfect evening and help the plight of homeless pets in the county at the AWS no-kill shelter. The Animal Welfare Society began helping homeless animals in 1952 and has operated a shelter on Old Leetown Pike since 1985.
