To provide Veterans greater opportunity to receive their flu shots, the Martinsburg VA Medical Center is expanding flu shot clinic service hours.

Because of the high number of flu-related illnesses in the area, the medical center’s walk-up flu clinic will now be open 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Only Veteran patients and immediate family members should visit the medical center at this time and parents are highly encouraged not to bring children.

According to Bobbi Corbin, the medical center’s health promotion disease prevention program manager, the walk-up flu clinic is the most convenient way for Veterans to receive their vaccination because no appointment is necessary.

“Veterans simply walk up to the counter where our friendly nursing staff are ready to provide their shot with no waiting,” said Corbin.
