Deadline approaching for Shepherd NEH summer institute applications
The National Endowment for the Humanities and Shepherd University announce the Mar. 1 application deadline for the 2017 National Edowment for the Humanities Summer Institute “Voices from the Misty Mountains, Appalachian Writers and Mountain Culture.”
The July 9-29 institute will take place at Shepherd University, the oldest town in West Virginia located on a bluff overlooking the Potomac River 65 miles from Washington, D.C.
The institute is open to full-time and part-time classroom teachers and librarians in public, charter, independent and religiously affiliated schools, as well as to home schooling parents. Other K-12 school personnel, including administrators, substitute teachers and classroom professionals, are also eligible to participate.
