Shepherd to host fundraisers for Alternative Spring Break
Shepherd University’s Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program is sponsoring a series of fundraisers to help cover the cost of students traveling to southern West Virginia Mar. 12-19 to perform community service. This year, 18 students have signed up to participate and the fundraisers will help cover their expenses.
Members of the community are invited to help these students by participating in the following fundraisers:
Sunday, Feb. 26, 5-9 p.m.-Chipotle Spirit Night, 927 Foxcroft Avenue, Martinsburg. Let the cashier know that you are eating at Chipotle to support the ASB team from Shepherd University, no flyer needed. A portion of the sales from the evening will be donated to the ASB team
Wednesday, Mar. 1, and Thursday, Mar. 2, Robert C. Byrd Science and Technology Center lawn-donuts and coffee will be available for a donation.
Thursday, Mar. 2, 5 – 8 p.m.-Chick Fil A Spirit Night, 156 Joshua M. Freeman Blvd., Ranson. Let the cashier know that you are eating more chicken to support the ASB team from Shepherd University, no flyer needed. A portion of the sales from the evening will be donated to the ASB team.
Now until Friday, Mar. 10, Office of Student Engagement, Student Center suite 216-Dooney & Bourke Kingston hobo purse drawing. Tickets are available for purchase for $1 each or 6 for $5. The winner will be drawn on Mar. 10 at 2 p.m.
