Deltas to host brunch fundraiser
The Eastern Panhandle Alumnae Chapter (EPAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host its annual Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Apr. 22 at the Holiday Inn, 301 Foxcroft Avenue, Martinsburg. The Brunch will feature the Howard Burns Quartet. The doors will open at 10:30 a.m.
EPAC will honor two deserving female high school seniors with a $1,000 scholarship award and two deserving male high school seniors with a $500 book scholarship award. The Chapter will also present honors to individuals and groups in the community who have distinguished themselves through service to programs in the Eastern Panhandle. The following persons will be honored in one of five award categories: Rosa Clark, Education; John Cloyd, Jefferson County Service; Matthew Elliott and Berkeley Plaza Theatre 7, Arts and Letters; John and Ruth Green, Friends of EPAC; and, Charlotte Norris, Berkeley County Service.
Tickets are $35, and proceeds from the ticket sales and Silent Auction will fund the Chapter’s scholarship awards and other public service projects. Ticket sales close on Apr. 17, and all sponsorships should be purchased by Apr. 14 in order to be included in the program booklet.
