Street Fest 2017 lineup announced
Shepherdstown Street Fest is one of the regions finest festivals that highlights local artisans, and musicians alike, and offers activities and entertainment to a crowd of all ages. Street Fest is brought to you by a core group of dedicated volunteers that work year round to seamlessly produce an amazing event that gathers approximately 8,000 supporters for only one day of the year, free of charge.
Street Fest offers over 70+ local artisans showcasing their work, a food court, beer and wine garden, kid’s camp, and live music on two stages starting at noon and going on until 8:30 p.m. This year on the intimate Library Stage we are happy to announce the following artists:
The Plank Stompers: Inspired greatly by the traditional styles of Appalachia as well as the modern sounds of experimental and jam oriented music. Plank Stompers offer original music that is sure to energize and entertain a wide audience, spanning many tastes and age groups.
Speakeasy Boys: Bluegrass, old time, country, rock-a-billy, jug band, country and western, hillbilly, ragtime and occasionally, when the spirit moves, we’ll play something different.
A.Y.U.: A nine piece funk band based in Brighton, East Sussex. You’ve seen funk gigs before, now it’s time to experience the AYU funk party!
Young Artist Series: YAS pairs local professional musicians with promising young local talent, offering our community the best in musical education and entertainment.
Street Fest offers a competitive sponsorship package for local businesses that are looking to promote themselves and be a part of the community. Furthermore, volunteers can sign up for as little as two hours and they are provided with a free T-shirt and a beer ticket that can be enjoyed after services are complete.
