Amelia Swope and Ewmmett L. Jones, IV, of Shepherdstown, welcomed their daughter, Scarlett Victoria Jones at 8:49 a.m. March 6, 2016 at Berkeley Medical Center. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Paternal grandparents are Emmett L. Jones, III and JoAnne Jones, Upper Marlboro, Maryland; paternal great-grandparents are Dr. Emmett L. Jones, Jr and Virginia Jones, Crofton, Maryland.

Maternal grandparents are Rick and Pamela Swope, Shepherdstown; maternal great-grandparents are Martin and Peggy Swope, Shepherdstown.
