Vojtasko and Ondeck Wedding Announcement

Eva Katherine Vojtasko and Michael Thomas Ondeck were united in marriage on July 21, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Potomac, Maryland.
The Nuptial Mass was officiated by Rev. William Byrne and Rev. T. Mathew Rowgh. Liturgy of the Word was read by Amy D. Ormbrek, of Snohomish, Washington and Stephanie E. Herman, of Greensburg, Indiana, sisters of the bride. The Prayers of the Faithful was given by Nathan P. Kirschner, of Wawwatosa, Wisconsin, cousin of the bride. The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and reception at Congressional Country Club in Potomac, Maryland. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Congressional Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Michael Vojtasko of Shepherdstown. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ondeck of Potomac, Maryland.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride was stunning in her strapless, side-ruched ivory satin gown, complimented by a floor length veil edged with antique lace taken from the bridal dress from 1940 of her grandmother, Cecilia Vojtasko. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of blue hydrangeas.
Holly Barringer, of Washington, D.C., friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, and Dr. Bridget Mullaney, of Atlanta, Georgia, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Ellen Choe, of Bowie, Maryland, friend of the bride; Ashley Herdman, of Columbia, Maryland, friend of the bride; Lauren Ippolito, of Washington, D.C., friend of the bride; Kathleen McAteer, of College Park, Maryland, friend of the bride; and Katherine Ondeck, of Washington, D.C., sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids included Jenha Trevathan and Sylvia Trevathan, of Shepherdstown, nieces of the bride. Flower girls were Andie Ondeck and Elizabeth Ondeck, of Potomac, Maryland, nieces of the groom. The bridal party wore floor-length chiffon gowns in sky blue, carrying hand-tied bouquets of white hydrangeas. The flower girls wore ivory satin dresses and carried long stem white roses.
The best man was Matthew Ondeck, Ashburn, Virginia, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Ryan Adams, Steamboat, Colorado, friend of the groom; Liam Dirlam, of New York City, friend of the groom; James Gormley, of Potomac, Maryland, friend of the groom; Christopher Ondeck, of Potomac, Maryland, brother of the groom; Daniel Ondeck, of Potomac, Maryland, brother of the groom; and Anthony Trifiletti, of Boston, Massachusetts, friend of the groom. The ushers included Simon Trevathan of Shepherdstown and Matthew Trevathan, of LaPlata, Maryland, brothers of the bride. The ring bearer was Keeton Ondeck, of Potomac, Maryland, nephew of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and West Virginia University. She also graduated cum laude from American Military University. She currently works for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring, Maryland. The groom is a graduate of The Heights School, Salisbury University and the University of Baltimore School of Law, and now works as an attorney at Lusk Law in Frederick, Maryland.
Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, Eva and Michael reside in Rockville, Maryland.
