Robin and Justin VanMetre, Sr., of Martinsburg, welcomed Liam James VanMetre into the world on Sept. 16, 2021 at 12:57 a.m. At birth, Liam measured 19.5 inches tall and weighed five pounds and 10 ounces. His paternal grandparents are Kevin and Doris VanMetre, of Fairmont. His paternal great-grandparents are John and Diane VanMetre, of Martinsburg, and Virginia Smith, of Hedgesville. His maternal grandparents are Joyce and John Morris, of Gerrardstown. His maternal great-grandmother is Wilma Orr, of Martinsburg.
