SHEPHERDSTOWN – The final auditions for the 2010-2011 season of the Masterworks Chorale are 7:30 p.m. Monday in the rehearsal hall in the Frank Arts Center on the Shepherd University campus. The first concert of the season, Handel’s Messiah, with full orchestra and guest soloists, is scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town. The program will be repeated at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Frank Arts Center Theater in Shepherdstown as part of the Friends of Music Concert Series.

The Chorale will appear at the annual Holiday Gala Concert at the Frank Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and at 3 p.m. Dec. 5. At 8 p.m. April 30, the Masterworks Chorale will perform Joseph Haydn’s masterpiece oratorio The Creation, with full orchestra and guest soloists at St. James Catholic Church. The program will be repeated at 7 p.m. May 1 at the Frank Arts Center Theater as part of the Friends of Music Concert Series.
