SHEPHERDSTOWN – The Friends of Music concert series presents the Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra at 8 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Frank Arts Center Theater on the Shepherd University campus.

Now in its fourth season, the Eastern Panhandle’s very own professional chamber orchestra has received wide critical acclaim and performs staples of the classical chamber orchestra repertoire as well as new, beautiful and unusual works.

The concert features Ruslan and Lyudmila: Overture by Glinka, Concerto a 5 in C, Op.9, No.5 for Oboe, Strings, and Continuo by Albinoni, featuring Greg Shook, Oboe, and Symphony No. 045 – The “Farewell” by Haydn, and Slavonic Dances, Op. 46 by Dvorak.

Tickets are $22 in advance and $27 at the door for general admission, $22 faculty, staff and seniors, $15 for students 18 and under.
