Professor of Year nominations sought

SHEPHERDSTOWN – This year, Good Shepherd Caregivers is celebrating 20 years of providing free, nonmedical caregiving to older or disabled residents of Jefferson County.

These services are performed by volunteers of all ages throughout the community. Volunteers drive people to medical appointments, take them grocery shopping, do chores around the house and yard, help at GSC’s offices and more. The next volunteer training will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Zion Episcopal Church Parish House, 221 E. Washington St., Charles Town.
