The Friends of Music announced the 2010-2011 Friends Fellowship awardees at a presentation ceremony at Shepherd University earlier this month.

These awards are given annually to outstanding musicians in the SU Department of Music. Certificates and monetary awards from $1,000 to $2,500 were presented to the recipients by DOM Chairman Mark McCoy.

The 2010-2011 Friends Fellows are:

Jorge Alvarez-Marron, senior from Venezuela (cello performance)

Courtney Bullock, junior from Annandale, Va. (voice/saxophone)

Paul Campbell, senior from Newark, Del. (guitar)

Nick Corasaniti, senior from Reisterstown, Md. (trumpet)

Molly Getsinger, junior from Mount Airy, MD (piano)

Ashley Reimnitz, sophomore from Frederick, Md. (flute)

Kaziah White, sophomore from Shepherdstown, W.Va. (clarinet)

Jilian Wiley, sophomore from Frederick, Md. (voice)
