‘FARM’ event is Tuesday
For the past five years, Columbia, Mo.-registered dietitian Melinda Hemmelgarn and her photographer husband, Dan, have traveled across the U.S. documenting the American food and agricultural landscape.
In the process, they created “FARM: Food, Art, Revolution, Media,” which uses the synergistic power of photography and storytelling to raise awareness, fuel community engagement and promote “food citizenship” toward a more just and sustainable food system.
“FARM” and a panel discussion will be presented on Tuesday at the Shepherd University Byrd Center for Legislative Studies auditorium at 7 p.m.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend. The event is co-sponsored by the Arts and Humanities Alliance (AHA!) of Jefferson County, Source and Sustainable Shepherdstown.
Various non-profit agencies will display their information and refreshments will be served.
