The League of Women Voters is a national, non-partisan, political organization which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

In keeping with this mission, the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County congratulated County Commissioner Walter Pellish, who has been elected to serve on the commission for six years beginning Jan. 1, 2011.
