Kemnitzer up for zoning role

By Staff | Nov 25, 2011

Monday the Shepherdstown Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend to town council the appointment of David Kemnitzer to the town’s planning staff.

Kemnitzer, if approved, would assume the role as another zoning officer whose duties would include follow-up and compliance to ordinance with applicants after they are approved for permits.

According to town officials, Kemnitzer has lived in Shepherdstown for at least 10 years with his wife, Susan. An architect with a specialization in preservation and historic architecture, Kemnitzer has previously served on the town planning commission.

The council will take the matter up at its Dec. 13 meeting.
