Rotary trims the tree

By Staff | Nov 25, 2011

Shepherdstown’s “Christmas in Shepherdstown” celebration is about to get underway. On Nov. 19, as it does each year, the Shepherdstown Rotary Club decorated McMurran Hall and the town Christmas tree for the holidays.

They were assisted by Shepherd University students, who are members of the University’s Rotaract Club. Rotraract is a Rotary-sponsored service organization for young men and women.

The town’s holiday celebrations will begin formally the evening of Nov. 25 with the mayor’s welcome, tree lighting and Santa’s arrival. For a full schedule of all events log on to www.christmasinshepherdstown.com.
