FOSL Book Sale scheduled for Mother’s Day weekend

By Staff | May 6, 2013

With little time left until the annual Friends of Shepherdstown Library Book Sale, there are several steps to take in order to be ready. First, do spring cleaning now! FOSL volunteers are happy to take used fiction or nonfiction books, children’s books of all kinds and any other print favorites. Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, computer manuals, encyclopedias and books on tape cannot be accepted.

Bring boxes to the War Memorial Building (Community Club) at the corner of King and German streets on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, May 8, 9, or 10 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The second step is to come to the sale on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. where one will find a huge selection of books on every imaginable subject just waiting to find an owner. For those who want to get a jump start on regular sale hours, there is a wine and cheese reception/preview at the War Memorial Building on Friday, May 10 from 6:30-8 p.m. Admission to the reception is $10 per person and books may be purchased at that time. All proceeds from the book sale help to fund programs and services at the Shepherdstown Public Library.
