Recently the Kiwanis Club of Shepherdstown and their sponsored youth group, the T. A. Lowery Elementary School K-Kids, collected a large number of stuffed animals that were donated to the Shepherdstown Police Department.

The officers will give the animals to children found in crisis situations in the hopes that they will find comfort in a new friend.

Officer James Cummings of the SPD accepts some of the critters from Dr. Bernard Wayne Knott, president of Shepherdstown Kiwanis.
