Mark the calendar for Friday, April 11, when Friends of Shepherdstown Library (FOSL) present an evening of poetry, readings and music.

“Left of the Bank” takes place at Casa Carlos e Isabel, home of Carlos Niederhauser and Liz Wheeler in Shepherdstown. The event will feature music by Don Oehsner and Friends.

Ed Zahniser will serve as Master of Ceremonies introducing such notables as Tom Donlon, Dylan Kinnett and Christa Mastrangelo. Local talent will provide delectable comestibles and libations, including appetizers and desserts with wine and beer as accompaniments.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for refreshments and the program runs from 7:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $35 and will be on sale at the library. Contributions over that amount are welcome and those donating $100 or more will be acknowledged as sponsors. All proceeds from the event benefit the Shepherdstown Library’s programs and services.
