Three exceptional bands at the Shepherdstown Opera House

Shepherdstown Opera House has three exceptional bands making appearances. Fishtank Ensemble with The Woodshedders will appear Apr. 11 at 9 p.m. doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Formed in 2005 and playing everywhere from the hippest LA clubs to festivals, and even on the streets, the Fishbank Ensemble includes two explosive violins, the best slap player in the world, musical saw, flamenco and gypsy jazz guitar, trombone, opera, jazz and gypsy vocals, accordion and one little banjolele. The
LA Weekly describes them as ” Cross pollinated gypsy music…one of the most thrilling young acts on the planet.”
The Opera House is honored to have the wonderful Woodshedders open up for Fishtank. They will burn up the stage with an acoustic set of hot jazz tunes just for this very special evening.
Saturday, Apr. 12 at 8 p.m., the music extravaganza continues with Circa Blue, a treat for all bluegrass lovers. The band will be playing music from their new album, A Darker Blue of which David Morris from Bluegrass Today says, “this northern Maryland trio puts the the blues in bluegrass.” Look out for classics such as Wild Horses and Dark Hollow mixed with original compositions from each band member. Come out and see why we are excited. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 7 p.m.
