English artist returns, exhibits Watercolour Travels at The Bridge Gallery Community Art Sale

Artist Angus White will exhibit water colours of his travels at The Bridge Gallery in Shepherdstown this weekend, Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, June 15, 12 noon-4 p.m.. The exhibit is part of the gallery’s Community Art Sale and the town-wide Yard Sale. The Bridge Gallery is located at 8566 Shepherdstown Pike, 25443.
A former resident of Shepherdstown, Angus White has travelled the world, producing watercolours, wood cuts and engravings, wall murals in acrylic and book illustrations in ink, pencil and charcoal including illustrations in The Book of Buildings, published by Michael Joseph/Dorling Kindersley. This weekend’s exhibit will feature watercolors and prints of Angus’ most recent travels from 2003 to the present in the Greek islands of Mykonos and Syros, Italy (mostly Venice), Spain (mostly Madrid) Scotland, England and Japan.
Angus White comes from Carlisle, England and has worked as a commercial and fine artist in Great Britain as well as France, Spain, Italy, Greece,Japan, and the U.S.A. He studied and worked in architectural design before completing courses in figure drawing and printmaking techniques at Sir John Cass School of Art in London.
