Brenda Swartz Doss

Brenda (Swartz) Doss, 51, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at her residence.

Born April 1, 1962, in Martinsburg, she is the daughter of Nancy (Starliper) Nichols.

She was formerly employed as a Child Social Service worker.

Brenda was a huge Orioles, Redskin and West Virginia fan, enjoyed being in the outdoors, loved music and was a good conservative Christian.

She was a graduate of Shepherd College.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Scott J. Doss; daughter, Jennifer Presley and husband, James; four grandchildren, Taylor, AJ, Isabella and Giselle; one sister, Martha Sager and husband, Greg; niece, Emilee; and nephew, Liam.

Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday Sept. 29, 2013, at New Street United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown with the Rev. Ed Grove officiating.
