Diana L. Boone

Diana L. Boone, age 55, of 15286 Maryland Line Road, Greencastle, Pa., passed away Oct. 11, 2013, at Manorcare, in Chambersburg, Pa., after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 25, 1957, in Elwood City, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Janice (Houk) Nolan.

Diana was most recently employed with Manitowoc in Shady Grove, Pa, and was previously employed with First Data in Hagerstown, Md., for many years.

Diana is survived by two sons, David Boone and wife, Brooke, of Shepherdstown and Christopher Smith, of Pennsylvania; sister, Noreen Vance, of Chambersburg, Pa.; and brother, Donald Nolan, of Greencastle; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Vanessa, Harper, and Camden Boone, and Gage Atkinson, all of Shepherdstown, and Serenity and Blake Smith, of Ft. Loud, Pa. In addition, she is survived by Jim and Billie Jo Robinson, who were Di’s very special friends and caregivers.

Diana was an avid bowler, loved riding her horses, and belonged to the South Mountain Rangers Riding Club. She loved ballroom and country dancing, being “Nana” to her grandchildren, and her dog, Lheah.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will host a gathering from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at Diana’s home.
