Linda Lou Collins

Linda Lou Collins, 65, of Shepherdstown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Willow Tree Manor in Charles Town.

Born Nov. 13, 1947, in Beryl, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Trenum and Bernadine Elizabeth Kurtz.

She attended Inwood Family Worship Center. She was a licensed minister since Sept. 1, 1996, under Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Ashland, Va. She touched a lot of people on a one-to-one basis, with a loving word and a kind deed for all.

She attended Boonsboro High School.

She was also employed as a receptionist by Flowers Unlimited.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Mae “Becky” Basford of Gerrardstown.

She is also survived by her former husband and beloved friend, Robert L. Collins; her lifelong friend, Marjorie Morgan; and a number of cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas E. and Carl A. Trenum.

A special thanks to Dr. Kerry Bertschinger for his friendship and faithful visits.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Brown Funeral Home’s South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, with Bishop David Palmer officiating, with Pastor Joseph Eversole assisting. Interment was in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
