Patricia Ann “Patty” (Stride) Wright Johnson

Patricia Ann “Patty” (Stride) Wright Johnson, 67, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Martinsburg.

Born March 8, 1946, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold C. Stride Sr., and Arbutus Virginia (Springer) Stride.

Patty was formerly employed as a cashier at Food Lion in Shepherdstown.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jo DeLauney and husband, Rudy; two sisters, Barbara Jean Stride and Sandy Wright; and one grandson, Justin DeLauney.

She is also survived by a numerous stepchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wright Sr.; second husband, Hunter Daniel Johnson Sr.; and her brother, Arnold C. Stride Jr.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home.

Interment was held at Elmwood Cemetery.
