Andrew Tanner Knott

Andrew Tanner Knott, 35, a life-long resident of Shepherdstown, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Willow Well Farm.

He was born July 11, 1979 in North Carolina. He was the son of Susan G. Knott and Martin Conway who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Lindsey (Hobbs) Knott; daughters, Elise Elliott, Livia Knott and Lisa Knott, all of Shepherdstown; sisters, Mary Milton, Charles Town and Cara Conway, Massachusetts; brothers, Chris Conway, Florida, Lincoln Conway, North Dakota and Martin Conway, Jr.,Martinsburg; aunts, Alice K. Mills, Virginia and Martha K. Putz, Shepherdstown; cousins, Samuel Mills and Linda Peralta.

Andrew attended local schools and went on to graduate from Chapman School of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida leading to his employment on various ships in the marine industry.

Andrew’s love for the Molers Cross Road area inspired him to want to become active in the community; he found his calling with the Bakerton Volunteer Fire Department allowing him to utilize his marine firefighting skills.

Services for Andrew will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 22 Knott road, Shepherdstown, with The Reverend Dr. Parker Hinzman and The Reverend Randall Tremba.

There will be no visitation and interment will be for the family only.
