Loretta Florence Senesi

Loretta Florence Senesi, 89, of Charles Town, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at her son’s residence.

Born Jan. 1, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Adam Rauh and Louise Koberer Rauh.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ranson.

Loretta retired as a long distance operator with AT&T and New York Telephone with 25 years of service. She and her late husband devoted their time to Meals on Wheels for a number of years. She was especially devoted to her church family and her grandchildren. She and her husband left New York in 1986 to be near her family and grandchildren in Charles Town.

She is survived by three sons, Robert and wife, Sallie, of Charles Town, Edward and wife, Diane, of Trabuco Canyon, California and Peter and wife, Karen, of Charles Town; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Augustine in 2007; three brothers; and two sisters.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, with Pastor Mike Withem officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Panhandle for nearly a year of superlative care.
