Arlen Glenn Moore

Arlen Glenn Moore, 83, of Shepherdstown, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at his residence.

Born Oct. 17, 1930, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the son of the late Amiel Moore and Ethel Griffith Moore.

Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an educator with the Department of Defense.

He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Shepherdstown.

He is survived by his wife, Sieglinde (Kraus) Moore; one daughter, Theresa Smith; one son, Arthur Moore; one grandson, Jason Smith; three brothers, Allen, Leslie and David Moore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Amiel (Buck) and Gene Moore and one sister, Eleanor Hamilton.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at St. Agnes Historic Chapel, 204 South Church Street, Shepherdstown, with the Rev. T. Mathew Rowgh as Celebrant.

Interment will be private.
