Helen Naomi Baker,

Helen Naomi Baker, 91, of Shelley, Idaho passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at her home in Shelley.

She was born in Uvilla, West Virginia on May 20, 1923 to George Cooper Morrison and Virginia Butler Flood Morrison.

She graduated from Shepherdstown High School in 1941. She married James Breece Baker in Charles Town that same year.

They moved from their home in Pennsylvania to Idaho in 1978 to be near their children and grandchildren.

Our mother and grandmother was a kind, forgiving and spiritual person. She never had a harsh word toward anyone.

She held many positions in the Latter-day Saints church including primary and visiting teaching.

She is survived by one sister, Jean Hoffman of Martinsburg; her children, Kathryn Landon, James Robert, Gary Bryant and Douglas George Baker; as well as 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; her brothers, Robert, Strother and Dudley Morrison; and sisters, Betty Jane, Elizabeth Maloney, Kathryn Houser and Charlotte Kidweller.

Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.

Interment was in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
