Franklin Delano Harding Sr.,
Franklin Delano Harding Sr., 74, of Middleway, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at his residence.
Born May 5, 1940, in Shepherdstown, he was the son of the late Wilbur Harding and Mabel Jenkins Harding.
He was of the Christian faith and served in the U.S. Army.
Frank was owner and operator of Harding’s Service Center in Middleway. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 948, VFW No. 3522, American Legion Post No. 71, all of Charles Town and the Brunswick Eagles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janet G. Harding, at home; children, Teresa Harding Miller, of Middleway, Franklin Harding Jr., of Inwood and Eric Harding, of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Logan, Mason and Savannah Harding, of Martinsburg; one sister, Juanita Hodge, of Bolivar; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Wilbur Harding; and three sisters, Audrey Manuel, Catherine Gifft and Dorothy Swope.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. Bobby Roadcap officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bolivar.
